This cool air intake scoop retains the dramatic increases in horsepower gains that Volant is famous for and increases miles per gallon during highway driving. Extensive testing has demonstrated that engine heat can be absorbed into the aircharge on most aftermarket or OEM intakes, degrading the potential power output of your otherwise high performance engine. Some forced air fans even push warm air flowing throw your engine's radiator and into the airstream that feeds the intake system. Volant systems design that problem out of their intakes and design in performance, and the add-on cold air scoop from Volant increases the volume of cooler from outsidfe the engine compartment that gets into the intake system, virtually eliminating any heat generated by your vehicle's engine.

The air intake power scoop typically attaches to the bottom of the Volant air box and is routed down to the tow hook located in the valence under the bumper. Volant does not recommend this air intake power scoop for use in extreme off-road driving conditions where the scoop is susceptible to water intake, such as driving through rivers, streams or high water. The installation of a Volant pre-filter is recommended to prevent premature loading of dust and debris on your filter when a air intake scoop is installed.
